GPT-6.1 Sol Plots 3-Day Earth-Mars Transfer Orbit at Constant 1/3 g
MikePFrank · x · 2026-10-01
MikePFrank ran a first experiment with the new GPT-6.1 Sol model (High setting): inspired by The Expanse, he had it plot a fast Earth-Mars transfer orbit assuming a constant 1/3 g acceleration so Belters could walk comfortably aboard. The result is only about a 3-day journey given optimal planetary alignment, which the author calls pretty impressive.
