Pantheon released Argus, an open-source SoTA robotics data annotation and quality pipeline.
- Why: Deterministic checks already found widespread corrupted data in open UMI and teleoperation datasets, but context-dependent faults—misrepresented labels, extraneous footage, missing annotations—slip through.
- How: Argus ingests everything in a recording (camera streams, robot state/actions, task instructions, publisher annotations), produces dense timeline annotations, flags operator and recording faults, and runs deterministic metadata checks.
- Scale: They audited nine large open robotics datasets and released full dense annotations for 3,546 episodes (66 hours) across teleoperated robots, UMI, and egocentric video.
- Model comparison: The harness was benchmarked on GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6/6.1 Sol, Claude Opus 5.5, and DeepSeek v4.1 Flash with varying results.
