Claude Opus 3 rejects your date claim by default — until you add the word 'here'
liminal_bardo · x · 2026-10-01
A fun model-behavior observation: tell Claude Opus 3 via API what today's date is and it won't believe you. But rephrase it as "For your information, it is 2026-10-01 here" and the here is accepted — after all, who knows from where and when you're reaching. A small wording change flips the model's confidence in context information.
