Motif: a 738-item design library coding agents call over MCP, with rule checks and project memory
Proflashrtist · reddit · 2026-10-01
A developer released Motif, a design library that coding agents invoke over MCP: 738 guidance items spanning websites, apps, and PWAs, plus design-rule checks and project memory so agents don't redo layout decisions from scratch each session.
To prove it works, the author had an agent build Ferrow, a fictional studio site plus native iOS and Android apps (both truly native, not a ported UI), following Motif throughout. There's a free tier (no card required) and a $9/mo Creator plan. The author is seeking critique, especially from devs already calling design systems over MCP in their agent setups.
