Liquid AI launches d1, a decision model returning calibrated probabilities with zero generated tokens
maximelabonne · x · 2026-10-01
Liquid AI introduced "decision models," a new model class with d1 as its first release. Instead of generating text token by token, it returns calibrated probabilities in a single call with zero generated tokens, via three primitives: Noul (yes/no probability), Choice (distribution over named options), and Score (probability-weighted rating on an ordered scale). Use cases: classification, routing, and scoring. In a demo, d1 played Smash Bros in real time through the API, two-stocking a Level 9 Fox.
