Manager locked Teams transcripts, employee used Copilot to dig JSON URL out of page source

A remote worker on Reddit recounted how his manager, as organizer of their 1:1 meetings, locked him out of downloading the Teams transcript and recording—even copy-pasting and drag-selecting the transcript window failed.
His workaround: download the source code of the Teams 'recap' page, then feed the thousands of lines to corporate Copilot to locate the JSON URL where the raw transcript was stored. Since the transcript lives in the browser cache, he recovered the full record.
Beyond the clever LLM-assisted code-digging technique, the post raises questions about who owns meeting data in enterprise AI tools.
