The UAE made AI literacy a mandatory part of its state school curriculum from kindergarten through Year 12 and published the full framework for other countries to adapt. Over 25% focuses on ethics; years 4-7 teach how AI works without screens at all. Separately, it banned screens in core subjects up to Year 6 after a pilot showed pupils improving at double the rate.
