Dev tests NVIDIA SoL-Refiner in ComfyUI: more like img2img reimagining than super-resolution
imlo2 · reddit · 2026-10-01
A developer built an unofficial ComfyUI custom node implementation of NVIDIA's new SoL-Refiner model (open-sourced on GitHub). Their hands-on take: don't expect magical super-resolution — it feels more like reimagining the input image, similar to img2img with a typical diffusion model.
The model is quite VRAM hungry, with fp8 and nvfp4 support; under fp8, going from 864×480 to 1728×960 on a 6s clip took at least 15-16GB of VRAM.
