Box CEO Aaron Levie argues that the deployment layer for AI into the economy is a huge opportunity: enterprises need legacy systems moved to cloud, data access reworked, software connected to agents, workflows reengineered, HITL designed, evals generated and maintained, and everything continually updated as new models ship. Unlike traditional software, every firm — from 50-person shops to 100,000-person enterprises — will need an army of people bridging core AI technology to their specific business processes and injecting domain expertise, creating openings for both software products and entirely new AI deployment services firms. The quoter adds that vendor FDEs are incentivized to lock customers in, leaving room for independent deployment providers.
