After falling sick in Hawaii and enduring an 8.5-hour flight delay, a user skipped OpenAI Dev Day and had the dots agent handle their non-refundable hotel and flight refunds.
- The agent emailed the hotel, got no reply, then escalated after two days straight to the general manager and secured a no-fee cancellation. It then spotted a $210 charge on the card and followed up to ask why
- For Delta, the agent filed a request citing the 8.5-hour delay and asking for an exception; support called back hours later approving a full refund
