September 30 marks 14 years since AlexNet was submitted to ImageNet in 2012, kicking off the modern deep learning revolution with the neural networks + GPUs + large datasets recipe.
To celebrate, a Reddit user built a video and open-sourced the entire pipeline: Qwen-Image 2.1 for illustrations, LTX-2.3 for motion, Wan 2.1 + InfiniteTalk for lip sync — all on a single RTX 3090, with Opus 5.5 driving ComfyUI for editing. Cost: $0 beyond a Claude subscription. The song came from Suno, with local prototyping via ACE-Step 1.5 and YuE2, which the author says aren't quite there for vocals yet.
