Fireworks AI has released Ember-1, a model built on Kimi K3 that the company claims delivers the same quality while consuming fewer tokens. Third-party eval firm Vals AI tested it on its finance and legal benchmarks: Ember-1 performs close to Kimi K3 while using fewer reasoning tokens per turn, backing up the efficiency claim.
