X nears launch of adding Grok to group chats, with encryption caveats

X is close to letting users add @Grok to XChat group chats. Grok can be asked questions, summarize conversations, generate content, set reminders and even jump in on its own.
On privacy: chats with Grok enabled will be clearly labeled, users can see when Grok has message access, and access lasts from the moment it's added until removed. Normal XChat conversations stay end-to-end encrypted, but once Grok joins, X and SpaceXAI get access to all messages in that conversation to power the feature.
