Synapse: open-source agent memory with Markdown + SQLite, retrieval via MCP

The author open-sourced Synapse (MIT): agent memory stored as editable Markdown with a disposable SQLite FTS5 index. It imports ChatGPT/Claude exports and text folders fully locally with zero model calls, exposes selective reads and proposenote over stdio MCP, requires human approval for proposed notes, and keeps imported history write-once. Tested on 3,138 conversations: 2,044 imported in 9.3s, zero API calls. Run it with uvx --from synapse-vault synapse serve --demo.
