AWS ML Blog published a hands-on guide to building a three-agent music production pipeline on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore's new Runtime Instances.
- Runtime Instances vs MicroVM: MicroVM is serverless (sessions up to 8 hours, one agent per runtime, no GPU); Runtime Instances run on AWS-managed EC2 with sessions up to 14 days, GPU access, persistent EBS volumes, and multi-agent colocation (1:N).
- The pipeline: a composition agent uses Claude Sonnet 4.6 to write a brief and runs the open-source ACE-Step music model on the instance's NVIDIA L4 (9s to render 20s of 48kHz stereo); a delivery agent measures the .wav off the shared volume and has Claude derive an EQ/compression/limiting chain, then verifies the result; a compliance agent independently re-measures, screens for harmonic similarity against the back catalog, and calls back to composition if flagged.
- Key techniques: invoking multiple runtimes with the same runtimeSessionId on one capacity provider lands them on the same instance with a shared filesystem; ECR containers and S3 code packages can be mixed; teams deploy independently; sessions persist overnight.
