Ex-OpenAI member proposes how OpenAI should have framed its pricing change

jxnl reshares Nicolas Zu's take: if he were communicating OpenAI's usage surge from a new model (near Astra performance at 1/10th the price, 3x faster), he would cut the Pro 200 multiplier from 20x to 10x and grandfather existing users for 3 months. Three reasons: fairness toward Plus (x1) and Pro 100 (x5) users, economic sustainability, and room to launch a Pro 500 (x25) tier for heavy users. The idea: make tomorrow's Pro 200 (x10) feel like more usage than today's (x20), trading transparency for user trust.
