Atlas trains at Hyundai's Georgia Metaplant, targeting 2028 production line deployment

Boston Dynamics opened its RMAC inside Hyundai's Metaplant America in Georgia, giving Atlas a real manufacturing environment to train in. Engineers teleoperate Atlas via VR to teach parts logistics, sequencing and pre-assembly tasks. The plan: Atlas enters HMGMA production in 2028 starting with parts sequencing, expanding to complex assembly by 2030. Hyundai previously announced deploying 25,000 Atlas robots across Hyundai/Kia plants and building a US facility producing 30,000 robots per year.
