AG-UI agent-to-frontend protocol hits stable 1.0, backed by Google and Microsoft

AG-UI (Agent-User Interaction Protocol), an open event-based protocol standardizing how AI agents connect to user-facing applications, has released stable 1.0. It has 16K GitHub stars and adoption from Google, Microsoft, AWS, Oracle and more.
- 1.0 means a stable, frozen spec backed by a JSON Schema
- TypeScript, Python and .NET SDKs are all generated from the spec, fully backwards compatible
- Enables any agent to connect to any app with real-time user context and UI integration
