Gallup survey in 37 countries: China and Vietnam top AI optimism, US near the bottom

Gallup's ongoing survey with Microsoft (first 37 of eventual 140 countries) finds positive feelings about AI outweigh negative ones in 34 countries, with China and Vietnam topping AI optimism while the US ranks near the bottom. Median awareness is 81% but only 43% have ever used AI and 57% have never used it. Singapore leads adoption (96% aware, 79% used, 46% daily) while Malawi trails (12%/3%/1%). Western countries show high worry, yet daily users worry the least.
