Cloudflare Rebuilds Containers for Agent Sandboxes: 648ms Startup, 6x Faster, FS Snapshots

Cloudflare shipped a major Containers update rearchitected for agent sandbox workloads:
- 6x faster startup: independent benchmarks show median startup fell from 4+ seconds to 648ms; burst tests created hundreds of thousands of containers in seconds
- New scheduling policy: app code picks each sandbox's image and instance type at runtime
- Filesystem snapshots in public beta, enabling pause/resume
- Direct Durable Object control via a native ctx.container API, plus Sandbox SDK 1.0
The design premise: agents create sandboxes on demand per task and expect them instantly ready — so the whole runtime was rebuilt around that.
