Paras Chopra argues humanity offloaded physical labor to machines long ago and is now doing the same with intellectual labor. Since thinking is effortful, people will happily outsource it whenever possible — so there's no reason to expect we'll retain cognitive agency, and a post-work society seems inevitable.
