Developer gandamuml shared progress on his ongoing Minecraft port project: getting SNES Super Mario Kart running inside Minecraft took about 10 days. He notes that's not much more than a 4-day effort referenced elsewhere — the work involved reverse-engineering a running SNES ROM, porting the AI, animating water tiles, and separately reverse-engineering some of Mario Kart Wii.
