BAAI (Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence) has released AREX-2, a long-horizon agent model built on Qwen3.8 27B. It is open-sourced under Apache 2.0, supports 262K context, and learns from execution feedback to improve long-running task performance.
For developers, it's a freely licensable mid-size agent-focused model worth benchmarking on long-horizon task execution.
