According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's long-rumored smart home hub, dubbed HomePad, will be unveiled on October 13th alongside a new HomePod mini and an upgraded Apple TV, with all three showcasing the overhauled AI-powered Siri.
The HomePad is a new product category for Apple: it features a 6-inch display that can be wall-mounted or set on a countertop, is about as thick as an iPhone, and has bezels similar to older iPads. Its design nods to the iMac G4—a round metal base housing speakers and microphones with an arm holding the tilting display, plus a thinner wall-mount version. The device has no battery and uses a USB-C power supply.
