LichtFeld Studio: open-source 3DGS tool to train, edit and render photorealistic scenes locally
janusch_patas · x · 2026-09-30
LichtFeld Studio is a GPLv3 open-source desktop app for end-to-end 3D Gaussian Splatting: train, edit, and render photorealistic 3D scenes from photos or video, running entirely on your local GPU. Windows binaries and Linux builds are available.
Highlights:
- Native 3DGS training on a C++23 + CUDA foundation with save-and-resume
- In-context splat editing: brush, lasso, polygon, crop, align, and compose against a live scene
- Python plugins and MCP endpoints for custom panels, batch tools, and external automation
- One consistent workspace handles training output, inspection, editing, and export instead of a disconnected stack
