Developer Tries OpenAI Dots After Grok Bot and Muse: Undercooked and Disappointing

Developer Cedric Chee, who tried Grok Bot three weeks ago and installed Muse last week, shares first impressions of OpenAI's Dots in a Gist: disappointing. He sees Dots as part of the rapidly expanding "Clawlike" category — pairing a capable model with your personal data as an assistant and second opinion — which he finds genuinely useful, with obvious potential for a team version. But Dots itself feels unfinished: high latency, too few spark-joy moments, and rough UX that fails his "mum test" for non-technical usability.
