User research platform UserTesting has rebranded as Auros. The products stay the same — UserTesting and User Interviews remain the core tools, Eric Johnson is still CEO, and existing contracts don't move.
The author recalls testing a handset on their panel years ago, with product teams getting same-day video of his session while most research waited weeks — fast human feedback is why the platform survived. Today its 7.6 million testers are increasingly checking whether AI responses actually make sense to real customers, positioning the platform as a human-feedback layer for AI evaluation.
