An AI researcher predicts a few more "we solved famous maths conjecture X" announcements are coming, but AI labs will quickly move on to areas like material design, drug discovery, and chemistry. In his view, maths research will be profoundly changed — to the point that nobody will care about the latest solved Erdős problem.
