Tracking the open-source X algorithm daily with Claude, the author spotted its first score change in six releases: a tap into your post dropped from 0.4 to 0.3, while a new signal — staying 10+ seconds after the tap — now earns 0.4, weakening clickbait and rewarding content that holds readers. Other changes: "not interested" penalty deepened to -47.52; the new-post pool (<8 likes, <500 views, <2h) rule was removed (still inactive); insult labels now hide posts from non-followers everywhere. The post also recaps full mechanics: copy-link shares (20) remain the top signal, mutual replies jumped 5→20, only originals reach non-followers, early likes hinge on 1 and 32, a second post in the same feed counts 62%, sub-1k-follower accounts get a free lift to 16th place, and a bad link in your pinned post labels the account for a week.
