Meta open-sources Context Language Models: editable-file context, +65% on agent swarm tasks

Meta, UW, MIT and Trillium Labs release the official code and paper for Context Language Models (CLMs): models natively manage context as a freely editable file instead of an append-only history, learning what to keep, and multi-agent contexts coexist as files. Zero-shot CLMs beat SOTA context-management: +11.4% accuracy with 21.5% fewer FLOPs on BrowseComp-Plus, and +65% score at equal compute on a 24-hour multi-repository agent-swarm task.
