A Reddit user is reviving a discontinued Indian comic series using Minimax H3's R2V workflow in ComfyUI, feeding old comic panels as character references. Two problems emerged: replacing a character's outfit with a real-world dress reference renders a live-action version of the character — the workaround is pre-converting each dress into an animated-style reference (tedious and token-expensive on the cloud) — and backgrounds come out photorealistic even when prompted for animated style, leaving animated characters in live-action rooms.
