Developer SadlyItsBradley shared progress on a spatial computing app for 3D printing: it lets users remotely view and control a Bambu Labs printer from XR and send sliced models directly to it.
New in this update:
- Volumetric and environmental lighting
- A laser that draws each print layer via gcode instructions
- Special animations for printbed heating/calibration and filament changes
- Drag-and-drop support for USDZ, 3MF, and GCODE with remote slicing
The printer appears as a futuristic object placed anywhere in your XR space alongside widgets and screens.
