Independent journalist Matt Van Swol was locked out of his X account for refusing to delete a post, with the platform citing "abuse and harassment."
His wife @HistoryBoutique says the accusation is baseless: Matt had actually condemned a disturbing video as horrible to watch, not harassed anyone. She argues people should be allowed to see hard-to-watch news content, and publicly called on X and Elon Musk to fix the account lock, asking how journalists can "be the news" if posting it gets them censored.
