Angaisb argues OpenAI has a product problem: free-tier ChatGPT users only experience weaker models, get poor results, and wrongly assume paid models aren't much better — so they never subscribe and never see what frontier AI can actually do.
He suggests giving free users even a tiny taste of GPT-6.1 Sol or GPT-6 Astra would massively boost subscriptions, though it would worsen existing compute constraints. The tweet cites a failed GPT-6 Luna generation made on the free plan.
