- First ride (in a Waymo Ojai): the Waymo was slower and pricier, but roomy; he took it anyway to get more reps with robotaxis.
- Second ride: Waymo charged $26.52 with a 32-minute ETA vs Lyft's $14.98 and 23 minutes — about 77% more expensive and 9 minutes slower.
He speculates Lyft's ETA estimates may be optimistic, but the price gap was striking.
