A Reddit user pushes back on the wave of criticism aimed at GPT 6/6.1 Sol's benchmark performance, arguing the community is ignoring the model's price and efficiency gains. Citing Artificial Analysis comparisons, GPT-6 Sol reportedly costs half as much as Sonnet 5.5, a third of 5.6 Sol, a fifth of Opus 5.5, and less than Astra. Even if Sol trails those models on benchmarks, the author contends its intelligence-per-dollar makes the performance debate largely irrelevant.
