ben_j_todd · x · 2026-09-30
Ben Todd (co-founder of 80,000 Hours) adds to his analysis thread: even if the key inflection points don't kick in by 2030, they could trigger a couple of years later, making gradual acceleration through the 2030s a plausible scenario. He clarifies he isn't predicting this is exactly how things unfold and may have made mistakes, but argues this scenario shouldn't be treated as an upper bound on what could happen.
