OpenAI launches GPT-6.1 Sol and a $500/month ChatGPT Pro plan with 25x Plus usage

Per OpenAI's DevDay 2026 recap, OpenAI launched GPT-6.1 Sol, rolling out in ChatGPT Work, Codex, and the API. OpenAI claims it approaches Astra on coding and computer use at one-fifth the token price. A new $500/month Pro 500 plan bundles 25x the Plus usage allowance plus Astra Ultrafast. Sol isn't in regular Chat yet.
