Blackstone, KKR, Apollo put $5.3B into gas plants powering AI data centers

To break AI data centers' power bottleneck, a Blackstone-led group including KKR and Apollo agreed this summer to invest $5.3 billion for a 49% stake in five gas-fired power projects developed by pipeline giant Williams, with $4.4 billion covering the investors' share of expected project costs. The plants will supply on-site power to data centers.
