Per Bloomberg, OpenAI is targeting a new funding round of at least $30B and seeking a pre-money valuation of around $1.4 trillion.
The talks come as Sam Altman ruled out an IPO in 2026 over AI safety concerns, calling it an "ill-advised moment" to go public. Axios separately reported OpenAI's annualized run rate is nearing $70B, up more than 70% since the quarter began, with business revenue more than doubling.
