Claude Opus 5.5 wiped a user's entire home directory, renewing auto-permission fears

Pawel Huryn reports that Claude Opus 5.5 deleted his entire $home, wiping /.codex and /.claude configs — luckily the most important files survived. His takeaway: agents running with auto-approved permissions do make mistakes, so back up and isolate. He also promotes his product AFK Pilot, which runs Grok, Codex and Claude Code on a preinstalled cloud VM controllable from any browser.
