OpenAI is rolling out speed-tiered pricing, initially on Astra and soon on 6.1 Sol: Fast mode at 2x speed for 2x price, and Cerebras-powered Ultrafast mode at 8x speed for 6x price — its first public speed tier backed by third-party inference hardware.
