Timothy B. Lee, attending OpenAI DevDay in person, observed strikingly little emphasis on safety: Sam Altman apparently never mentioned it in his keynote, and only one of the 17 agenda sessions was security-related. He adds it's a developer conference, not a policy summit, but a brief opening acknowledgment from Altman would have gone a long way.
