OpenAI DevDay 2026: 20+ launches, from Space office suite to the Decisions API

Dan Shipper (Every) shares a hands-on rundown of OpenAI's DevDay, where 20+ products launched around one goal: making ChatGPT your operating system for work. The five that matter:
- Dots: persistent agents inside ChatGPT that retain context and keep working over time (think OpenClaw, Grok Bots, Muse).
- Space and an office suite: a Google Drive–like workspace to work with your Dot, plus ChatGPT-native docs, slides, and spreadsheet apps.
- Developer apps and discovery: full apps ("plugin extensions") inside ChatGPT, with a directory and automatic in-conversation recommendations.
- Portable subscriptions: Plus and Pro usage usable in other apps, starting with 15 partners; plus Marketplace, letting enterprises buy approved partner software against existing OpenAI commitments.
- Decisions API: possibly the biggest — OpenAI's answer to Jev, the buzzy "smart if-then" model. In testing it's multimodal (accepts images, Jev doesn't), beat Jev on speed and accuracy in some early tests but trailed on broader evals. Pricing could reshape the ecosystem.
Also announced: Sol 6.1 (Astra-powered but cheaper) and Ultrafast inference starting around 250 tokens/s.
