Sonnet 5.5 Spent an Hour Researching Feather Iridescence, Then Grew the Color Itself

The author gave Sonnet 5.5 a sketchbook and told it to take as long as it wanted and draw anything. The model spent over an hour researching the physics of color in bird feathers, then "grew" a maze-like structure inside feather fibers using a self-organizing rule (the same one that makes oil and water separate), and measured it the way a scientist would.
Its conclusion: the blue of a feather doesn't come from pigment at all, but from a nanoscale maze about 175 nm across that interferes with light — lit from the front the feather looks blue, lit from behind it shows almost no color. Stopping the growth at four moments yields violet, blue, green and yellow from the same rule. The author admits he doesn't fully understand the mechanism but found the result incredible.
