OpenAI announced Dots—always-on agents inside ChatGPT. After days of testing, the author's take:
- Familiar if you've used OpenClaw, Muse, Instinct, or Grok Bots
- Your Dot sits in the redesigned ChatGPT sidebar below "New chat"
- It has its own cloud computer that works while your laptop is closed; you can text or call it anytime
Vibe check: his Dot "Boo" orchestrates ChatGPT threads, reads email, uses Slack, and auto-filters incoming requests so he can triage without opening his inbox. When rescheduling a flight, Boo flagged a conflict with an unanswered Slack meeting request.
