Celesto Launches GitHub Actions Runners, Claims 12x Cheaper Than GitHub
aniketmaurya · x · 2026-09-30
Celesto launched Celesto CI, a managed runner service for GitHub Actions, pitching a smaller bill:
- Just change runs-on to [self-hosted, celesto-cloud]; logs stay in GitHub.
- The Micro tier (1 vCPU / 2 GB) is priced at $0.0005/minute, which Celesto says is about 1/12 of GitHub's standard Linux x64 runner and 1/8 of Blacksmith.
- New users get $5 in trial credits (no card required), covering up to 10,000 CI minutes.
Note the comparison is per-minute rates, not equivalent hardware or total bills.
