Solo developer Dimitris from Athens open-sourced OtoDock, a self-hosted "company OS" that combines Claude Code, Cowork and cloud sessions into one multi-tenant app, powered by your Anthropic/OpenAI subscription or local models.
Key points:
- Departments are agent pools: marketing runs on agents, engineering has a dev agent, and a CEO agent reads department digests each morning and briefs the owner
- Each agent runs as a persistent process based on Claude Code / Codex CLI inside a bubblewrap kernel sandbox with network isolation always on, with its own workspace, memory, schedules and tools
- One command pairs any remote machine to run the same agents with two-way workspace sync; if the machine goes offline, sessions fall back to the server sandbox
- Since 1.7, agents can build and deploy apps inside a secure sandbox (internal team tools or external products like a barbershop booking page); the author's first app is a GitHub tab giving live CI/test/PR/issue visibility
- Built-ins: phone calls via Twilio or Asterisk, pro photo/video editing pipeline, and Office/PDF editing with live preview in chat
One install script plus docker compose, no signup. Fair Source licensed, free up to 5 users. The author notes much of OtoDock was written by OtoDock itself running Claude Code.
