- API pricing targets enterprise/commercial use; that doesn't legitimize gutting subscription quotas
- Users have alternatives — Anthropic and open-weight models will happily absorb the churn
- Vibe coders and solo devs, the core subscription audience, get zero compensating perks
He says he'd accept the logic only if commercial-use rights came with that usage tier.
