Multi-agent workflows as DAGs: fork a cached base prompt instead of re-reading files 200 times
Liu_eroteme · x · 2026-09-29
Watching 200 agents re-read the same repo config, formatting and lint rules is painful, and prompt caching doesn't help since each agent starts from its own prompt. The author argues multi-agent workflows should be modeled as DAGs: the orchestrator explores repo configuration once, caches the baseline prompt, then forks before assigning individual tasks so all agents share the cached prefix.
